Take eyes off darkish circles

When it comes to eye makeup, we are mostly interested in accentuating the outer corners of eyes. From winged eyeliner to elongated flick, there are multiple makeup ideas for the outer corner of eyes. However, inner corners are often ignored and they are waiting for someone to take notice now. Thankfully, they got some attention recently, after being sported by several celebrities and we are super excited!

Inner-eye accent is created using an eyeshadow or pencil that’s placed on the inner corner of the eyes. It basically is applied in an inverted direction to play around with light and shade in that area. One may wonder why we are hooked to the trend? It’s one of the easiest ways to play with eye makeup that doesn’t take much time and is chic to pull off. Secondly, if you notice closely, our noses block the light reaching the inner corners, pronouncing the dark circles. Therefore, experts also believe that an inner-eye accent can brighten up the spot, taking the attention away from dark circles.

There are different ways in which you can wear it. Rather than using the usual gold and copper shimmery shadows to highlight it, embellish the spot with bright shades that are in perfect sync with the eyeshadow.

You can wear two shades of the same colour — light and dark — that complement each other. While the darker shade adds extra definition, the light brightens up the whole look.

Apply a dark eyeshadow on the inner corners to define it. You can add a hint of glitter or top it off with a metallic shade to enhance the look further. Using dark hues like black or brown make it look like an extension of the smokey eye look.
