Is cucumber actually that good for darkish circles? Knowledgeable shares inside secrets and techniques

We can deal with just about anything, anything other than stubborn dark circles. Once you see the first shade of the dark circle coming, it just keeps increasing and so do our stress levels. The first thing that we are told is to use cucumbers. We went on to chat with renowned dermatologist Dr Ajay Rana who went on to reveal the benefits of cucumber and if it really works very well for your dark circles.

Cucumber consists of many essential vitamins and minerals such as Thiamine, riboflavin, Vitamin B6 and minerals like calcium and magnesium, which are very good for the skin. It is considered one of the most effective beauty ingredients for taking care of the eyes. Cucumber has an anti-inflammatory effect that helps to reduce puffiness of eyes and dark circles. The high water content in cucumbers helps in hydrating the skin and the cool temperature decreases the flow of blood to the space around the eyes.

Cucumbers also contain antioxidants and silica that can help to reduce the appearance of dark circles. It helps in lightening the skin around the eyes. The skin around our eyes is often discoloured. Cucumber helps in treating this and brings back the lost beauty on our faces. It contains Vitamin K, especially in the deep green part of the peel which helps to reduce dark circles. It has the ability to improve blood clotting and coagulation.

This subdues the stark visibility of the purple and green capillaries darkening the under-eye area. Cucumbers are rich in vitamin C and folic acid. Vitamin C can stimulate the growth of new cells in the skin, while folic acid stimulates antioxidants that help the skin fight off environmental toxins that can make eyes appear puffy or tired.

So ditch all your mid-week plans and pamper yourself with a face mask and cucumber.
