The ageing process is very natural and everyone undergoes this phase at their own pace. Generally, the ageing process starts when you are in your late 30s, this is the time when you start noticing age related changes like wrinkles, fine lines, greying of hair and dark circles start becoming prominent. Two most common issues faced by the people are wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes because the skin under the eyes is very thin as compared to the skin on the rest of the face. The under eye skin is more sensitive to the environment, chemicals and UV rays so it becomes thin and loses its elasticity. This is the first area in the face which shows the signs of ageing, so under eyes require special care and attention.
As the pandemic hit us, it has increased our screen time due to work from home and binge watching which had led to dark circles and wrinkles. The artificial light from the TV and laptop screens makes the skin dry and breaks down the collagen. Because of this the under eye area looks worn out and one might seem under the weather. Skin creams which have vitamin-A extract retinoids, antioxidants and collagen can help in reducing wrinkles and even out the skin tone. Before seeking medical treatment, you should try home remedies to treat dark circles and wrinkles.
