Are Eye Bags Permanent?

Do you ever wonder if eye bags are permanent? It can be unpleasant, but undereye bags can disappear if you know how to take care of yourself. More importantly, it doesn’t bother your vision or health at all. However, we understand how devastating it is to look at those puffy eyes in the mirror, so let us talk more about eye bags.

Dark Circles Vs. Eye Bags – What Are The Differences?

As the name suggests, dark circles are the darkening of the skin around the eye, often just below them. Several factors may cause dark circles, but the main one is stress, usually induced by a lack of sleep. The occurrence of dark circles is not sensitive to age and can be common throughout all age groups, and this is where dark circles differ from eye bags.

Outside factors also cause puffy eyes. It might be some allergies, excessive alcohol use, or that stress factor and lack of sleep again. While dark circles and puffy eyes come in a jiffy, there are different eye bags, which is how. Eye bags are the drooping region below the eye, making it look like the eyes have a few bags hanging underneath it, hence the name. While factors cause dark circles and puffy eyes, we can manage at the end of the day; eye bags are typical because of aging.

The eye bags come up when the fat around your eyes drops down. It is because of the skin losing its tightness and elasticity around that area. When the flexibility of the skin reduces over time, the eye bags usually develop as you age. While the eyebags may not look the best, the good thing about them is that they are mostly harmless. It is if you suffer from extreme scratching or pain that you need to see a doctor.

How to Get Rid of Eye Bags Permanently?

No matter how closely you look at it, the eyes are one of the human’s most eye-catching pieces, which is why so many songs and poems are written on the eyes. Therefore, it is only natural that you want your eyes to stay for as long as possible, well, the eye-catching part of yourself. Unfortunately, when age catches up to go along with the pressures that everyday people have to deal with, the eyes and the surrounding area take a pounding, so it’s up to us to make sure we don’t come across too many dark circles, eye bags or puffy eyes. Here are some ways to remove eye bags that look so permanent.

Use Of Cold Spoon

It might seem strange, but a cold spoon can work wonders for your eye bags in an instant and get rid of them. Take a metal spoon and put it up in the refrigerator for a bit. Place it around the affected area for a few minutes after taking it out, and see those eye bags disappear.

Chilled Tea Bags

There are two ways to do so. It would help if you put them in hot water before applying them under the eyes, and then wait for it to cool down. And what might help is to cool them down and place the cold tea bags around the head. It can work both on green tea and black tea bags. Try all of them, and see what works for you. Here are other benefits of tea bags.

Cooling Effects

Once again, on the cooling. But this time, if you don’t have a spoon or tea bags lying about, only one cloth would do. Take a soft, comfortable fabric and soak it in the cold water. Squeeze the excess water out and put it around the eyes for three to five minutes.

Slice Of Cucumbers

My favorite salad has a natural refrigerating effect, so no wonder it can be used as a perfect cure to get rid of those eye bags. Place the cut-up cucumbers on your eyes, preferably straight out of the fridge. Then, let it work its magic. Keep them on for 15 to 30 minutes for it to take full effect anywhere. It is one of the best ways to eliminate eye bags that look permanent.

Elevated Sleeping

It is a trick that will work well if used correctly. If you’re someone who likes to sleep with just one thin pillow and wake up with eye bags or dark circles, it might be time to think again. Lift your head by bringing in an extra pillow and try to sleep in that spot the night away. What that does is that your head is higher than the rest of your body, it helps the extra fluids to drain away from your face, which ensures you won’t wake up all puffed out with your eyes or with a bag under them.

Sleep Straight

If you like to sleep on your stomach, this could be an issue. Sleeping on the back helps you get rid of the eye bags and make sure they don’t pop up overnight.

Remove Your Makeup

Before you go to sleep, make sure you eliminate the whole make up entirely from the day. Your face needs to be as clean as possible because it will cause eye bags to pop up.

Salt Intake

You need to track your salt consumption. The less salt you eat, the more likely the skin will remain tight and secure for longer. If you are one of those who indulge in salt, those eye bags are likely to arrive prematurely. So, reduce the intake of salt, and wave goodbye to eye bags.

Your Lifestyle

It is one of the causes, but it can also be one of the main reasons to permanently stop the eyebags from coming or even getting rid of them. Exercise, eat well, make sure you’re getting enough sleep, and make sure you’re not stressing too much, and those eye bags that look permanent may stay away.

Quit Smoking

Cigarettes are harmful to you; we all know. Not only do cigarettes eat away from your body, but they also make you look all puffed up and exhausted on the outside too. So, knock out the cigarette habit if you’re bothered by the eye bags, and you happen to be a smoker.

Too Much Sun Exposure

Although everyone needs their vitamin D, too much of it can have a detrimental effect also. Excessive exposure to the sun can cause your skin to sag, which means forming eye bags. Just make sure you’re not spending too long in the sun, and if you do, sun lenses and sunscreen will cover you up.
