After a binge-watch session or a bad breakup, we all wake up to ugly-looking dark circles and under-eye bags staring right at us in the mirror. That’s just how life is, we all are imperfect beings. But that doesn’t mean that we have to live with those imperfections. With the right tips and remedies, you can get rid of under-eye bags and dark circles at home. You do not have to spend a ton and neither do you have to waste a lot of time.

Cucumbers slices

Take a cucumber out of your fridge and cut its thin slices. Place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After that find a comfy chair and place the slices on top of your eyes. Relax for about 10-15 minutes and remove the slices once you are ready to wash your face. Do this twice a day for a week to see results.

This home remedy will help you treat swollen eye bags and dark circle underneath our eyes. 

Cold compress

Take a towel or an eye mask and soak it with water. Now, place it inside the fridge for an hour, Now, apply the cold compress to your eyes for about 10 minutes. If you have a mask, then wear it right after taking it out of the fridge. Do it twice a day to see results. 

This dark circle reducing method is quite effective.

Rose water-soaked pads

Take some cotton pads and soak them with rose water. Now, place them inside the fridge for 30 minutes. Apply them to your eyes when you need a quick fix for your dark circles and eye bags. 

You can also apply rose water to your entire face for a rosy glow.

Cold tea bags

Use green tea bags as eye masks. All you need to do is soak a tea bag in clean water and then place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then, place the tea bags on your eyes and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water.

Green tea has the added benefit of antioxidants. And, its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe strained capillaries in your under-eye area.

Potato slices

Just like cucumber slices, you can use potato slices to get rid of eye bags and dark circles. You can also use potato juice-soaked pads as eye masks before going to bed.  

Orange juice-soaked pads 

Orange has both vitamin A and C and as per experts, it does reduce the appearance of dark circles. Mix some glycerin with orange juice and use cotton pads to apply it to your under-eye area. 

Coffee and honey scrub

If you wish to do a quick yet gently scrub, take some grounded coffee in a bowl and mix it with honey. Use your fingers to massage your skin with the mix. Wash it off after 10 minutes. Make sure that you do not scrub harshly.

Castor oil and jojoba oil massage

In a bowl, mix castor oil with jojoba oil. Apply it to your eyes before going to bed. Leave it overnight.

Ice cubes

Take some ice cubes and keep them on the affected area. This will help reduce stress in the blood vessels under the eyes by increasing the proper blood flow.

Tomato slices 

Tomatoes contain lycopene which works wonders on your skin. They do not just decrease the appearance of dark under-eye circles but also reduce puffiness. 

In a bowl, mix equal parts tomato juice with lemon juice. Use cotton pads to apply it to the under-eye area. Leave it for 10 minutes. Then, wash it off with some lukewarm water.
